Medium golden-gray with retained luster in the protected areas and problem-free surfaces. A notable rarity in the quarter series. Though 44,200 pieces were struck, it is presumed that much of the mintage was retained by the Mint and later melted when the new-weight Arrows coinage of the same date was introduced.
