Fine. Though Maine is no stranger to internationally named towns (Mexico, Peru and Norway are just a few) the town of China was not named after the country, but rather a politician's favorite hymn. It was chosen after his first choice (Bloomville) was rejected because it was too similar to the Maine town of Bloomfield.
