Peru. VF+ 1771 Pillar 8 Reales

Lima Mint. Silvery gray surfaces. Some lightness of strike at the obverse center, not an unusual occurrence for the design type. "The coins of our nation's founders" as the Red Book calls these famous pieces of eight.
