Satiny and lustrous honey gold with a pale rose glow. A rare bird in any grade despite the lofty mintage of 3,049,500 pieces. Much of the mintage was shipped to overseas markets and banks or else simply melted in 1933 when Roosevelt's Gold Prohibition began. We don't see this date often!
