Mexico. Rare 1833 "F" 2 Reales

5.06 Gr. Mexico City. NGC Certified "Clipped" but not graded. We grade it at VG-8 with overall nice surfaces and only minor clipping. Through 2 major auction houses we could locate only 3 auction records for this coin. Those include a NGC VF-35 (which sold for $3995) a NGC F Details Drill Damage and an NGC VG Details - Plugged. NGC lists only the one VF-35 coin in its census. This single letter assayer issue is believed to be the rarest of the 2 Reale issued for the year.
