Description
1835 Bucklin's. Hammered into an octagon. Numismatic legend says large cents that were hammered into this shape were used as passes on the Underground Rail Road. The present piece was in circulation for decades and probably plucked from change before becoming a rail road pass. Conjecture, true, but neat anyway!
