Bronze. Original. Julian PE-35. Dies by Charles Cushing Wright. 64 mm. One of 500 struck in 1849 to celebrate John Trumbull, the "Painter of the American Revolution," and the American Art-Union. Deep chocolate-brown with some minor marks and rim bumps, reverse with light oxidation; this should clean up nicely and easily. A rarity in its original format; these were later restruck.
