Warm and lustrous golden-gray surfaces impart a hint of olive toning. Commonplace in circulated grades, scarce in AU, and notably rare in any Mint State designation, this despite a mintage of 10,710,000 pieces. Most of the mintage succumbed to the rigors of circulation in New Orleans, one of the world's busiest ports at the time.
