Amazing! By far the finest example, and by a long-shot, that this writer has seen in 40 years of numismatic auction cataloging. The photos are pristine, free of cracks or spotting, and the surrounding medallion is as fresh as the day it was struck. The loop at top is intact, which is not often the case for this ferrotype issue. Superb. None of the major auction companies have sold a piece even remotely approaching this piece in quality, with the typical offering EF or so with faulty photos. Unbelievably choice, and a splendid opportunity to claim bragging rights to a great rarity in absolutely tip-top condition!
