Important Civil War 1859 Half Dime Love Token

Reverse reads: J.B. / Co. A / 47th Rgt. Our consignor researched this unique bit of numismatic Americana and determined the soldier in question was Joseph B. Bower, a Private in Company A, 47th Regiment of Pennsylvania. He was recruited in Easton, Northampton County, PA on September 24, 1861, and remained with the unit until discharge on March 1, 1865.
